Applications for the FIFA volunteer program 2026 are now open.
There is one year left until the start of the FIFA World Cup 2026, one of the most important sporting events globally. From June 11 to July 19, 2026, the twenty-third edition of this football tournament will be held, featuring 48 teams.
For the first time, the competition will take place in three countries: Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Respectively, it will be the first, second, and third time these nations host the World Cup.

Therefore, with each tournament, FIFA opens calls for fans interested in applying to the World Cup volunteer program. Those selected will get to live a unique experience alongside people from different countries and help in various areas of the tournament.

How Can I Be a Volunteer for the 2026 World Cup?
FIFA volunteers are responsible for greeting and guiding fans and attendees of the event, carrying flags, preparing accreditations, sharing behind-the-scenes moments from each match, and assisting with other logistics.
Those interested must register their interest on the official website and join the FIFA Volunteer Community Click Here To Get Registration . There, they must fill out a form and indicate where they would like to help, as there are 16 host cities. The deadline to complete this step is from May to August 2025.
After that, in August 2025, candidates must register and complete the online assessment. At that time, they will need to share their passions, skills, and availability.

After completing the previous step, in fall 2025, they will be invited to an interview or group activity where they will have to demonstrate their strengths, enthusiasm, and motivation. This is also a good opportunity to meet other candidates and the volunteer coordination team.
Between January and February 2026, selected individuals will receive a role proposal. If accepted, a background check process will follow.
Subsequently, from April to June 2026, training will be carried out for the assigned role during the World Cup. Simultaneously, from May to June of the same year, volunteers will collect their uniforms and accreditation.
Between June and July 2026, the most anticipated sporting event will begin, and volunteers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and live a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

FIFA shared the requirements to be a volunteer for the 2026 World Cup. Below is the complete list:
• Availability: Ability to commit to up to nine shifts between June 11 and July 19, 2026.
• Age: Must be 18 years old at the time of completing the application.
• Country Requirements: Must meet the entry requirements of the host country.
• Language: Knowledge of English and Spanish is valued. Fluency in other languages will be considered an additional advantage.
• Selection and Training Process: Must attend an interview, either in-person or in a group, and complete the required training process.
• Verification: Must agree to a background check of personal data.
