Real Madrid Secures Franco Mastantuono from River Plate
The clause for the 17-year-old Argentine is 45 million, but the white club is confident of lowering it. He would play the Club World Cup with the South American side and arrive in Madrid in July.

Xabi Alonso’s new Real Madrid continues to take shape. After announcing the signings of Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold for the defense, the white team has now moved to the midfield. As reported by Marca and confirmed by this newspaper, Madrid has reached an agreement with the young Argentine attacking midfielder Franco Mastantuono, 17 years old and owned by River Plate.
A delegation from the Chamartín side has been in Buenos Aires for several days trying to speed up the operation and has finally moved ahead of PSG, who were also interested in the player. Madrid has reached an agreement with the player and is now working to close the transfer with River Plate.

The player’s release clause is 45 million euros, but the white club is confident it can reduce it slightly, taking into account Mastantuono’s desire to play for Madrid and the possibility that he could play the Club World Cup with River Plate to bid farewell in a major tournament.
Interest from half of Europe
Mastantuono would sign now and arrive in Madrid after the event, in mid-July, to join Xabi Alonso’s squad for preseason.
At 17 years old, the left-footer has become River’s flagship player and has attracted interest from half of Europe. He can play on the right side or as an interior midfielder, and it remains to be seen how Alonso will manage minutes in the midfield, especially with another player of a similar profile like Arda Güler.
